The erection of a gate at Adigbola was undertaken to enhance security, as the area serves as a major access route connecting Abeokuta Expressway, Iyana Ipaja, and Egbeda. Prior to the installation of the gate, residents of Alara experienced incidents of theft, which investigations revealed were facilitated by unauthorized access through the street and pedestrian entrances.
To address this challenge, the gate was introduced and is operated daily, opening at 5:00 a.m. and closing at 10:00 p.m. Since its installation, the gate has effectively curtailed unauthorized access and has significantly improved the security and safety of residents within the Alara community.
